I pulled the heaviest King Salmon out of the Kenai River, the largest of the tournament. Could not have asked for a better Fathers Day Weekend! I took off on bike from home and headed East about .5 miles to the Elmore Ball Fields where from there the Hillside Trail system breaks into miles of Single and Double Track. Rando let me borrow his WTB 2.55" 29er tires which were a much improvement from the Nokian 2.1" studs I was running. The guys on their fat-bikes took me thru Speedway, Rovers Run, and a few other trails. The skies sunny and the temperature in the high teens made the ride very enjoyable. Big thanks to Randy and Tim for getting me outside and shaking off that cabin fever. We did not have very good luck. After awhile, I put on different bait and fished for Pinks and Trout. I stopped counting how many Pinks I threw back.
